Pro/Am Competitions

ProAm competitions provide an opportunity for an amateur to take part in competitions with a professional partner. In this case, the teacher is usually also the dance partner. All of the most relevant international dance sport associations, including the World Dance CouncilWorld DanceSport Federation, and International Dance Sport Association, offer ProAm competitions as part of their international events. The world's oldest and most prestigious dance competition, the Blackpool Dance Festival, featured its first ProAm event in 2014.

Starting Ballroom and Latin dancing as an adult means that your learning curve may feel steep, but competing with your teacher helps you stay on track in a way that dancing with someone on the same level may not. Ballroom and Latin ProAm competitions are a great challenge if you have been dancing for some time and want to take it to the next level. The commitment of both partners in ProAm is often as strong and in some cases even stronger than the commitment in other dance partnerships. You will be preparing and competing with Marius and there are different levels and age categories to suit everyone.

If you are up for the challenge, please get in touch. Marius will assess your level and find you the most suitable event so you can make the most of your competitive dancing adventure.
